From go to wo, it was a pleasure dealing with Allwood Building Group. My apartment in Melbourne was flooded throughout because of a burst water pipe in the complex. The first I heard of the disaster, was from Tracy who telephoned me to say Allwood Building Group needed access to my apartment to check for damage. As I live in Perth WA, my reaction was “I have just left my apartment in Perth, and there is no damage – did she have the right telephone number?!” She explained to me that it is my apartment in Melbourne. At this stage I had not heard from my property manager, tenant or the Body Corporate Manager. The apartment was extensively water damaged – vinyl in the kitchen, carpets, walls, doors, paint work. My tenant was not happy with the situation and I was going overseas for 4 weeks. Once the insurance was sorted, Brendan called to say his team would design the kitchen, email it to me, and then get on with putting the apartment back in order. So within 3 days, the design was signed off, materials chosen and Tracy took on board to select all the kitchen appliances. Her attention to detail is amazing. When she looked at the bench tops I had chosen, she thought best to check what type/colour carpet and kitchen vinyl I had selected. Given that the area is open plan, it was important to have coordinated colours throughout the area. She discover that the carpet colour and the bench tops would not suit – so suggested an alternative.

I went off on my holiday and the tenant is settling into her home again. The apartment is back in order. Allwood Building Group completed the works on time and in budget. They worked around the tenant and the restrictions of moving materials in a prestige apartment complex. Thank you to the team – you said you would take care of the project and right my apartment – and you did.
